Hôm qua về quê giỗ ngoại. Nhìn những chùm hoa thiên lý đu đeo trên giàn trước sân nhà, tôi thích mê. Dì tôi đã hái cho tôi mang về. Chiều nay tôi nấu canh hoa thiên lý với thịt băm. Canh hoa thiên lý nấu thịt băm thanh đạm mà ngon. Thịt băm tẩm ướp gia vị vừa miệng, nấu ra nước ngọt thơm, bông thiên lý đun vừa chín tới, vẫn giữ được được độ tươi ngon.

Trộn thịt băm với hạt nêm và bột bắp và vo thành từng viên. Chia hỗn hợp thành những viên nhỏ. Phi thơm hành tím với dầu ăn trong nồi. (Nếu không thích dùng dầu ăn, có thể bỏ qua bước này). Cho khoảng 1 lít nước vào.

Hoa thiên lý ngâm muối, rửa sạch. Đợi nước sôi mạnh thì cho thịt viên vào. Nêm 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối. Nêm nếm lại cho vừa miệng, tiếp theo cho hoa thiên lý vào nấu sôi 2-3 phút, tắt bếp múc canh ra tô.

Mùi thơm nhẹ và vị bùi, cảm giác thanh mát của hoa kết hợp với ngọt dịu của thịt băm mang đến cho gia đình một tô canh nhẹ nhàng. Mùa hè mà có bát canh hoa thiên lý nấu thịt này thì còn gì tuyệt vời hơn!
